Sweet Cheeks!
Clara Beth gave me a little scare so we went to the doctor to see her again! I had not felt her moving very much (to my over-sensitive liking) so I started to panic. Come to find out she was just hanging out and everything is fine! We were thrilled to see her again and found out that she is indeed still a girl and she weighs 2.5 lbs. and is 13 inches long. I had a dream that she changed gender so I told Judy to please make sure again since there is a pink chair on the way. Fortunately nothing had changed in that department! SHEW!!! She is measuring a week ahead of schedule so we are thankful for that and hope that we can get her here long before the big Stampede weekend. I was happy to see that she has a nice, chunky cheek that I am sure will be pinched, squeezed and kissed more than she will want or need!! You can see it in the photo. We are on track for our next appointment in a few more weeks so for now I can rest easy and try to stay out of panic mode!

Another One Down!
I just got back from the doctor and Clara Beth is still progressing very well. She is measuring 26 and her heart rate was 140. I wasn't as nervous this time because I have been feeling a lot of movement. My next appointment is in three weeks and it will be time for the yummy orange drink that determines gestational diabetes. I have to swig the drink and then have blood drawn an hour later.
As for our dilemma with the Texas Stampede and CB's arrival...my doctor was very reassuring and told me that she will check me at 36 weeks to see if I am dilated and then we can make a decision following that. We are just nervous about Randy being gone the week we come home from the hospital and we want to avoid that if possible.
So more prayers have been answered today! YEAH! Clara Beth is going to be here before we know it!

All Done!
Yeah! The Vet called and Bobo did great! He has two stitches and is in recovery! The Vet said that she cleaned his ears and trimmed his nails too. I am going to pick him up this afternoon and I hope he will be alert and ready to eat. I am so glad it's over!
Learning the Ropes
We dropped Bo off this morning. The procedure should be around 11am so I am going to be anxiously awaiting the call from the Vet. Bo did fairly well except when Randy put him on the table he started shaking. This made me so sad and I thought I was going to cry but I stayed strong. A mom has to be strong for her baby, right?! I guess it's never easy but you just do it. On the way to work I thought about how as a parent you have to put your child (or dog) in the hands of others and trust them to take good care. It's more natural for us to want to be in control and it's hard to let go of that. I am sure Bo will be fine and this will just be another experience that I look back on and wonder why I got so worried...but until it's over you just sit and wait, and hope, and pray that everything will be ok. I have learned through having Bo that I am going to have to get a lot tougher when Clara Beth comes. I am thankful that he is teaching me that and maybe it will make things a little easier!

Growing Up
This is Baby Bo in February! He was about 6 weeks old!
This is Big Bo in June at 5 months! He is cute as can be!BoBo is having his "surgery" tomorrow so I thought I would pay homage to him today. He has been such a sweet little baby and tomorrow he has to grow up. He slept with us for awhile, but after some discussion we decided it would be best to put him in a bed on the floor. He has done really well the past four nights in our room, but I think he wanders around alot. The only whining and crying has been the two of us because we are so sad that he is down there! HA! We adore him so much and I am already worried about him taking second place after Clara Beth comes, but I guess that's inevitable, right? Sigh. Poor little guy.

23 Weeks!

Little Clara Beth and I are feeling pretty good! Other than the occasional ache and pain here and there I would say we are progressing nicely. She has been kicking a lot lately and I love every minute. I couldn't sleep on Sunday night so I just put my hand on my belly and felt the movement all night. It made me smile when I should have been sleeping! I wonder which way she is facing and what parts of her body are doing the kicking. I assume it's her foot, but I don't know. My next appointment is on July 18, but it's just a routine check-up. I will schedule our child birth class at that time. We are going to take a class that is offered by my doctor's nurse and it's just one night. We are still waiting on the changing table and the chair so the nursery is on hold for now. I think it might be time for another trip to Canton now that I know I can shop for PINK!

Kate Ashley
Sweet little Kate made her debut slightly earlier than expected! She was due on July 28, and came on July 3. But she is healthy and that's the important part. Shanna said that Macy is totally in love with her baby sister too! They are home and are completely exhausted after a long night! Here are a few photos!

Nursery Progress!
Along with little Bobo, the bedding was waiting for us at my mom and dad's house when we got back from the lake! It was a wonderful surprise. You can see that it's going to be so soft and sweet in the blue room. Now we need to assemble the crib!
This is one confused dad-to-be (like I was much better!) I was clueless!
This is the fabric we ordered instead of the minky dot shown in the photo below.
We ordered this chair! It's so comfy! I think we'll be spending lots of time here. It doesn't recline (even though I was told to get a recliner) but it should do the trick. We got an ottoman to match but it's not shown. We had an expensive, but fun day on Thursday! We started at Baby World where we ordered the pink chair then headed to Babies R Us to get the crib, changing table and to register! We were totally exhausted. Who knew there were so many choices and EVERYONE has a different opinion! It's so overwhelming...I have heard, "oh you need this, you don't need that, you can borrow this, don't buy that there!" GEEZ! We are clueless and I think it might be better to just stay that way and figure this out on our own. Even though that's the hard way, sometimes you just have to learn for yourself. Here are some photos from the day!

Finally Painting!
BoBo wanted to help so he barked orders at Randy!

Randy meaursing for the bead board! That's the next project. I am sure it will give us fits but it will look really great when it's on the walls.YEAH! After SEVEN trips to Home Depot (three this morning) we are finally going! Randy has one wall done and I took some photos so here they are! I guess these are probably pretty boring, but I like watching the progress.
