"For this child we have prayed"

Randy and I are thrilled to inform everyone that we finally have CB in our arms! She came on Tuesday, October 21 at 10:15p.m. It was the hardest day of my life that ended in overwhelming joy and excitement! Randy has been the most incredible person, husband, coach and daddy that I could ask for. CB LOVES him and so do I. We have enjoyed every minute, even the hard ones and we are looking forward to just loving her and giving her the best life we can possibly give. It's an incredible feeling that we have waited for...waited for five years to be honest. The past nine months have been hard because we have wanted her here, but she is worth the wait. Enjoy looking at the photos. I will do better at posting them when I get back to life in Rockwall! Hanging with mommy. We are having fun!
Did someone say cheeks?

Susu came to visit! Her daddy changed her very first diaper! It was the first diaper he has ever changed and would you believe he did it perfectly!

Love at first sight!
Here she is on the scale! Everyone couldn't believe it. Nine pounds Six ounces!
CB made it and it was glorious! And oh yeah...did I mention she was BIG?

Epidurals are gooooooooood!!!!!!!

Last Day

It's my last day at work until January! Wow! I am going to miss my co-workers, but not work! :) I had to post one last "belly shot" taken by the computer cam on my MAC. The progression is unbelieveable!

Special Buddy

This is our precious BoBo. We love him so much and it makes me sad when I think about how much his life is about to change! He is used to peace and quiet and all the attention one dog can muster but in just a few days his world will be upside down. He has no idea that this creature called a baby is about to wreak havoc on his spoiled life. Randy took him to the Dog Park last weekend and they had a great time. I think I am going to take him back tomorrow too so that he can have one last hooray that is all about him. I know he will always be our sweet baby BoBo, but it's just going to be different. I am not willing to accept it yet, but I know things are changing!

Countdown

This could be our last weekend with life as we have known it for six and a half years. I think I am still in denial. It's just so hard to believe that in a few days we could have a baby! I went for my sonogram this morning and Judy said that CB is about 8lbs. 3 ounces and 20 inches long. Her head is really far down and she looked ready to me. I got a quick glimpse of her face, but not a good look. So, it's still a mystery! My doctor is going to Disney World tomorrow and won't be back until Monday night. Yesterday she told me that if she doesn't come on her own this weekend that we can induce on Tuesday when she returns. I hope she won't have visions of Mickey and Minnie running through her brain while I am in labor. I know that God has already picked her perfect birthday so I am fine with whenever...but I really want my doctor there. I guess it's different for them because they do this all the time and they are good about not getting attached to patients, but I am fully attached to her and want to see her face while in the most compromising position of my life! I appreciate all of you who have kept up with us while on this journey. It will be wonderful to share this dream come true in just a few more days! Stay tuned...

Couples Shower

Our friends gave us a Couples Shower a few weeks ago and it's taken me awhile to get these posted! We had so much fun! The shower was in McKinney at the Wood's house and several of our friends came to enjoy the festivities! They deocrated with a Cowgirl theme and it was so fitting for us as we are about to embark on Randy's 8th year with the Texas Stampede! Amy, Allison and Susan

Jeff played a nice joke on Randy...this is a diaper kit from Home Depot! All of the essential tools were included, such as a Doo Doo Deflecter apron, tongs, a gas mask, a pink Dallas Cowboys onesie, snacks, a head light, goggles and the list goes on! Needless to say, Randy is prepared for those number two's that are sure to come in the next few weeks!

Special Friends

Kimberly, Keri and Darla gave me a shower at Keri's house a few weeks ago. It was special because I have known them my entire life and celebrating this joyous occasion with them meant the world to me. I also had some special family members in attendance and longtime family friends who came. Our parents met while our dads were coaching together at Mesquite High in the early 70's and then they moved to Sulphur Springs a few years later. We kept in touch and have been great friends for MANY years. Allison and Kimberly

Honoring Dad!

My dad was honored at last week's game for his 34 years of loyal service to the Highland Park athletic program! This recognition was long over-due and it was exciting for him and for our family. We went on the field at half-time and the PA announcer spoke about my dad and then they gave him his own parking spot in front of the stadium (this is a big deal because parking is really limited around there!) I know Clara Beth will be proud to know that her Granddaddy is well respected and loved by so many!
