Six Weeks
CB turned six weeks yesterday! She slept six hours last night so maybe we haved turned a corner! I better not speak too soon though. She weighs a whopping 11 lbs. now. The child likes to eat! My back hurts and I have pains in places I didn't know exist..this mom thing is a good workout. Who knew? We are so excited about the holidays this year! My decor is out but I need two more stockings. We will also be celebrating Bo's first bday on Christmas Day. What do you get a dog that wants for nothing? Ha!

Four Weeks
This is the princess in her pink tutu!Wow! This mommy thing is amazing, but soooooooo hard! Time flies by so quickly and I haven't had a chance to do much updating lately. Anytime CB sleeps I rush around trying to do little things like brush my teeth and scarf down food! She is amazing! We are learning so much about our precious miracle everyday. She smiles and makes the best facial expressions! She is probably going to be a daddy's girl as she already makes his heart melt daily. Here are a few photos from the past few weeks!

Two Weeks
Hidy folks! I know it's been a long time since I updated the blog but I ran into a few obstacles with my computer! We are up and running now so hopefully I will do better from now on. As you can see, CB is doing GREAT and she is a cutie patootie. It's been the best two weeks of my life...just looking at her makes my heart melt. Randy has been so busy with work lately, but that should come to an end after the Stampede is over next week. I know he misses us and wants to be home and we want him home too! I have been asked how CB is sleeping and eating and well I can say she does it all perfectly well. The child doesn't miss a meal or a nap so I guess we are off to a good start! She gets her love of formula from her father and her love of the nap from me. Ha! Ha!! Thanks for all of the kind messages! Keep them coming!

"For this child we have prayed"
Randy and I are thrilled to inform everyone that we finally have CB in our arms! She came on Tuesday, October 21 at 10:15p.m. It was the hardest day of my life that ended in overwhelming joy and excitement! Randy has been the most incredible person, husband, coach and daddy that I could ask for. CB LOVES him and so do I. We have enjoyed every minute, even the hard ones and we are looking forward to just loving her and giving her the best life we can possibly give. It's an incredible feeling that we have waited for...waited for five years to be honest. The past nine months have been hard because we have wanted her here, but she is worth the wait. Enjoy looking at the photos. I will do better at posting them when I get back to life in Rockwall!

Last Day
Special Buddy

This is our precious BoBo. We love him so much and it makes me sad when I think about how much his life is about to change! He is used to peace and quiet and all the attention one dog can muster but in just a few days his world will be upside down. He has no idea that this creature called a baby is about to wreak havoc on his spoiled life. Randy took him to the Dog Park last weekend and they had a great time. I think I am going to take him back tomorrow too so that he can have one last hooray that is all about him. I know he will always be our sweet baby BoBo, but it's just going to be different. I am not willing to accept it yet, but I know things are changing!

Countdown
This could be our last weekend with life as we have known it for six and a half years. I think I am still in denial. It's just so hard to believe that in a few days we could have a baby! I went for my sonogram this morning and Judy said that CB is about 8lbs. 3 ounces and 20 inches long. Her head is really far down and she looked ready to me. I got a quick glimpse of her face, but not a good look. So, it's still a mystery! My doctor is going to Disney World tomorrow and won't be back until Monday night. Yesterday she told me that if she doesn't come on her own this weekend that we can induce on Tuesday when she returns. I hope she won't have visions of Mickey and Minnie running through her brain while I am in labor. I know that God has already picked her perfect birthday so I am fine with whenever...but I really want my doctor there. I guess it's different for them because they do this all the time and they are good about not getting attached to patients, but I am fully attached to her and want to see her face while in the most compromising position of my life! I appreciate all of you who have kept up with us while on this journey. It will be wonderful to share this dream come true in just a few more days! Stay tuned...

Couples Shower
Our friends gave us a Couples Shower a few weeks ago and it's taken me awhile to get these posted! We had so much fun! The shower was in McKinney at the Wood's house and several of our friends came to enjoy the festivities! They deocrated with a Cowgirl theme and it was so fitting for us as we are about to embark on Randy's 8th year with the Texas Stampede!

Jeff played a nice joke on Randy...this is a diaper kit from Home Depot! All of the essential tools were included, such as a Doo Doo Deflecter apron, tongs, a gas mask, a pink Dallas Cowboys onesie, snacks, a head light, goggles and the list goes on! Needless to say, Randy is prepared for those number two's that are sure to come in the next few weeks!

Special Friends
Kimberly, Keri and Darla gave me a shower at Keri's house a few weeks ago. It was special because I have known them my entire life and celebrating this joyous occasion with them meant the world to me. I also had some special family members in attendance and longtime family friends who came. Our parents met while our dads were coaching together at Mesquite High in the early 70's and then they moved to Sulphur Springs a few years later. We kept in touch and have been great friends for MANY years.

Allison and KimberlyHonoring Dad!
My dad was honored at last week's game for his 34 years of loyal service to the Highland Park athletic program! This recognition was long over-due and it was exciting for him and for our family. We went on the field at half-time and the PA announcer spoke about my dad and then they gave him his own parking spot in front of the stadium (this is a big deal because parking is really limited around there!) I know Clara Beth will be proud to know that her Granddaddy is well respected and loved by so many!

MISD Love
My fabulous co-workers gave me a shower on Thursday. It was held at Paula Palmer's beautiful home in Sunnyvale! We had a wonderful time and I got some of the most special things! I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and generosity! Here are some of the highlights but the entire afternoon was something I will never forget! Thank you to Paula, Linda S., Dodie, Sandra, DJ, Jeannie, Linda W, Kristin and Laura for putting on such a wonderful event!
Thanks for the enormous piece of cake Jeannie! I am so sure...like I could eat all of that! :)

Taking a much needed break...those contractions were pretty strong by the end of the day!
