Big Changes

We are meeting with a couple today that will potentially keep CB beginning on Monday. JoJo and her family are moving to Sherman so we have been looking for a new place for several months now. I had written this couple off because we didn't think they were going to have a spot for her, but low and behold she called on Friday and said she wanted to meet with us! I am really excited because she will be close to my office and also close to my parent's house so it's a win/win. I'll have to find someone to keep her in the summer, but that is a long time from now. This couple have been keeping kids for more than 20 years and they have a little school inside their home. All of the meals are homemade and she will be learning in a structured environment with only 3 other kids. This is such a great scenario! I hope that CB will adjust well and that it will be like a new home to her. Jodi has been a blessing and we are going to miss her so much. :( CB and Jaci have become good friends, so we hope to maintain their friendship through playdates, etc... It won't be the same without our sweet JoJo around, but we wish her all the best!!

Cousins

CB LOVES her cousin Abby! She is so sweet to her and it's been so much fun to watch Abby respond. She is already six months old and she talks and squeals when CB is around. It is great to see them playing and I know they are going to be sweet friends as they grow up. We have been on a roll lately and have been able to see them nearly every weekend.

CB and Dax

CB had another playdate with her little friend Dax. We got together at the Galleria for some lunch and to celebrate Dax's second birthday! He turned 2 in July. It has been fun to watch their progression. The time before, they both stared at each other and cried. This time they had a ball watching each other, running and laughing. Dax is a character and kept CB entertained the entire time! Jennifer and I are pretty sure they are soul mates, so these photos will be fun to see at their rehearsal dinner!! Ha! Ha!

I am getting really frustrated with Blogger! It won't let me change my background and this has been the reason that I have am lagging behind on my updates! I have tried several times to make this happen, but it's not working. FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Cudder Mama!"

Here we go! We have entered the world of crayons! Ugh! She loves them and she loves to "cudder". Oh my word...it's constant! I have kinda been putting it off, but thanks to Granddaddy, CB loves to color all over everything! I try to set boundaries by putting her in her high chair, but that didn't really do much good. I scrubbed crayon off the tray for about 20 minutes! There are marks on her blanket, and I have a feeling there are going to be marks everywhere pretty soon. Guess I need to get the washable ones, ehh?!!

This is where she decided to put her cudder bowl on her head. You all know that her father taught her this, right?!

Conked Out!

Ok so I couldn't resist this! On Sunday evening, we did our normal routine of getting ready for bed, but CB wasn't having it! She'd been sick over the weekend with fever but it finally broke early Sunday morning! So I thought we were passed the sickness. We got her ready for bed and she just didn't want to go down. This lasted pretty much all night. I was up and down with her and then Randy was up and down with her! She finally fell asleep on his lap at 6:30am! So I got ready for work and went in to check on them at 7am. When I walked in she perked right up and said, "Hi mama!" I was shocked that she wasn't still asleep! So I picked her up and we went to our special place on the couch. We like sitting on this couch because it's comfy! We both fell asleep for about an hour. Then I woke up and had to call Granddaddy because he was going to watch her while I went to work! I stood CB up on the ground, ran around the corner to get my phone and came right back to see this! I even heard a thud! She had completely passed out on the floor! I checked to make sure she was breathing and of course she was...I was shocked! Randy and I got a nice laugh! And then we both got a nice nap too! LOL! Thank goodness! Last night was much better! She slept through the night (for the most part) and we are all much happier today!
