Love At First Sight

Jay made it to Korea and finally met his son for the first time yesterday. This was happening while we (Courtney, me and friends) were sipping ritas at Primos! We had to do something to take the edge off, right?! It was around 8pm last night (10am in Korea) that Jay met Jae Min. What a surreal moment it must have been! If only we could have been a fly on the wall. They should be heading back Thursday (which is really Friday in Korea) and will be here in the US tomorrow morning. I am sad that I won't get to go and greet them at the airport, but I know we will get to meet Jae Min soon enough. I absolutely cannot wait!

Little Jae Is On His Way!

Our precious friends, the Jordans have been in the process of adoption for several years now. It's been a long, emotional road but it's finally about to come to a happy end! Big J is on his way to Korea this week to bring little J home. The adoption process is wonderful, but grueling at the same time. Little J's mom, dad and sister receive updates on him and photos but they can't touch or hug him. But all of that is about to end and we are thrilled! If you read this post this week throw up a prayer for safe travel and for a smooth transition for Little J as he is welcomed into his new home in Texas! Jae Min and CB are just three months apart so we are expecting them to be great friends.

Sittin Pretty!

Little CB can sit up! It happened out of the blue one day. I was holding her up and then all of a sudden she had it down. We have not mastered the crawl though. I am always surprised when people ask me if she is crawling. Do babies crawl at 5 and 6 months? She enjoys playing on her tummy and she thinks about how she can get from one spot to the next, but crawling we are not! I think I am fine with that too! I don't want her to crawl...if she crawls that means the days of infancy are on the way out. Boo Hoo!!!

The Love of Easter

We had a fantastic Easter! Randy and I took CB to the Arboretum on Good Friday and it was beautiful! The rest of the weekend was packed with activities and as you can see in the photo below, the Easter basket was a hit!

Five Months

CB celebrated her five month birthday on Saturday, March 21. We decided it was time to try out some rice cereal! My plan WAS to try it out every Saturday until she turns six months, however, this past Saturday we were off our rocker due to sleep deprivation. Does anyone know about that?! Ha! Ha! She had been exposed to a stomach bug at her sitter's house so we keep thinking it was going to hit, but she never ran fever - thank goodness! She just had stomach issues (without being too graphic) and she was so unsettled. Bless her heart!

Busy Girl

CB has been quite the busy girl! Spring Break was great fun and I enjoyed staying home with her so much. We went on our first road trip and it was quite pleasant! We did have to pack a lot of stuff, but that is not anything unusual traveling with me! We went to Houston and got to see friends and family and then spent the rest of the week seeing friends here. I have posted a few pictures of just the highlights of the week. All in all it was wonderful! I wish I could have had two or three more weeks off. Sigh...
Having lunch with Abigail and Livi Gardner!
Having dinner with Erica and Uncle Greg at Maggianos

CB finally got to meet Shanna in Houston!

Hangin with Julia at The Harbor

Having lunch with Aunt Jeannie and Julia

Going on a walk with mommy and Bobo

Come On Spring Break!

Spring Break is next week and I am soooooooo ready. I didn't realize how ready I was until this morning. The rain and this freezing cold weather sent me into a tail spin! Yesterday as I was leaving Jodi's, I had CB in the car seat (which is like 100 pounds) and I stepped off the sidewalk and twisted my ankle! It hurt so bad! Luckily, I don't think it's broken, but it sure is sore. So, this morning I didn't have an umbrella or my coat and I am thinking, "How in the world am I going to get CB up the walk and into the house in this weather with a sore ankle?" Jodi saved the day by pulling her car out of the garage so I could pull in and drop CB off. Even still, I was late to work and FREEZING. It's just time for some relaxation.
