Honoring Dad!
My dad was honored at last week's game for his 34 years of loyal service to the Highland Park athletic program! This recognition was long over-due and it was exciting for him and for our family. We went on the field at half-time and the PA announcer spoke about my dad and then they gave him his own parking spot in front of the stadium (this is a big deal because parking is really limited around there!) I know Clara Beth will be proud to know that her Granddaddy is well respected and loved by so many!

MISD Love
My fabulous co-workers gave me a shower on Thursday. It was held at Paula Palmer's beautiful home in Sunnyvale! We had a wonderful time and I got some of the most special things! I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and generosity! Here are some of the highlights but the entire afternoon was something I will never forget! Thank you to Paula, Linda S., Dodie, Sandra, DJ, Jeannie, Linda W, Kristin and Laura for putting on such a wonderful event!
Thanks for the enormous piece of cake Jeannie! I am so sure...like I could eat all of that! :)

Taking a much needed break...those contractions were pretty strong by the end of the day!

Church Shower!
My sweet friends from church threw me a shower on Sunday! It was another overwhelming day for me. I was surrounded by so much love and I couldn't believe the shower was actually for me! I have attended so many showers throughout the years and honestly it's been so hard. I never thought my day would come, but it did and sharing it with these women who have prayed for us and with us was an enormous blessing! Clara Beth is going to have lots of mommies and I can't wait. The shower was held at Jennifer Hill's house and there were 10 hostesses. I am so glad that God put these women in my life...they are all amazing.

Showers and Blessings
It was a busy weekend for Clara Beth and me! My friend college friend Chele drove in from Austin on Friday for a visit and we had a great time! BoBo probably drove her crazy trying to play tug-o-war, but she was nice and loved on him. On Saturday, we headed to Plano for a beautiful luncheon in my honor! Angie and Toni hosted the most beautiful shower (at Toni's) and I am still overwhelmed by their generosity! I got to see some old friends and it was over way too soon. I cherish these special moments more than anything! Here are a few photos from the day, but they will never do justice to the beauty that was in the room.

Weekend Update
I got the test results back from my diabetes test! Everything was fine and I won't have to curtail my sugar intake for the next 8 weeks! Thank goodness! However, I am watching the carbs and the sugar just for the sake of watching it.
Randy hung the chandelier in CB's room yesterday and it was quite an ordeal. At one point he told me to turn on the light and this minor explosion happened! It scared me to death, but fortunately he wasn't hurt. BoBo just sat there and stared at him...probably thinking, "what in the world are you doing up on that ladder?" I'll post a picture as soon as possible.
We visited my friend Kimberly and her family in Sulphur Springs on Sunday. We had a great time, except for the fact that we missed her 4-year old shooting her in the hiney with a bb. It might have been an accident, but I doubt it knowing her precious little Reed.
Clara Beth went to her first high school football game on Saturday night! We saw HP play Red Oak at SMU. I think she really loved it because she flipped all night long. I am sure she can't wait to be a part of the excitement next season!
That's about all the excitement for now. It's a short week! YEAH!
